This study of the colonial invasion of an Indigenous community in Canada highlights Indigenous resistance and resurgence in the face of historical racism. The study draws on archival sources including personal papers, newspapers, travel writing, legal records, government reports, judicial sources, and the records of the Department of Indian Affairs.
