Summary:

Religious zealots roam the streets of the former Riveria of free speech as Times Square descends into a Giuliani-slash-Disney hell. The Gods of Times Square, Richard Sandler's first feature documentary, shot between 1993 and 1998, documents the religious fanatics, doomsday prophets, drug addicts and marginalized street folk before and during the grotesque process of "Disneyfication."
