Therapeutic guidelines for HIV infected and HIV exposed children, as of February 2009

Summary: The purpose of these guidelines is to describe the role of community pediatricians and family practitioners in the care they can offer to children who are HIV infected and to infants born to HIV infected mothers. The management of HIV disease in children is a shared responsibility of community physicians to provide primary care and pediatric HIV specialists to provide the HIV therapy and care of opportunistic infections.
