It's the product of the 5th International Conference on Indigenous Education: Pacific Nations held in Honolulu, Hawaii May 26-29, 2009. The primary objectives of the conference and the book are to share knowledge and experience for the benefit of Indigenous education in all its aspects at a time when Indigenous programmes are emerging in universities around the world.
