Everything Métis

Summary: When you think Aboriginal peoples in Canada, what comes to mind? What often doesn't come to mind is the Métis people. Most of us know very little about the Métis and what we do know is often derogatory, demeaning, or even flat out wrong. What cannot be denied, however, is that there is a distinct Métis heritage, people, and culture. This episode is about getting to know the Métis people, the Métis history, Métis achievements, and how youth are dealing with the issue of cultural survival, social equity and economic inclusion.
